چکیده
Abstract In previous work [1], we analyzed the recrystallization kinetics in cold-rolled AA5657 and AA5182 based on measurements of volume fraction recrystallized material, free (unimpinged) surface area density average size recrystallizing grains, plus contiguity between for a series partially samples. that work, calculated growth nucleation rates were used as basis from analysis. These two properties are derived measured parameters, which, shown present adds to their uncertainty. paper, revisit using improved stereological data perform full microstructural path The new analysis results compared ones implications different types sets analytical approach interpretation discussed.

Evidence for Solute Drag during Recrystallization of Aluminum Alloys
Evidence of both solute drag as well as differences in migration mechanisms of certain boundary types has been found for an Al-Zr alloy. In-situ Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) annealing experiments coupled with Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM) showed a stark contrast between Zr segregation at small and large scales. Specifically, Zr was found to segregate to, as well as ...

Ultrasonic Monitoring of Recrystallization Textures in Aluminum
The present paper is an attempt to use ultrasonic velocity measurements to characterize the texture of an aluminum-magnesium alloy ( Al 5xxx ) and to compare the results with orientation imaging microscopy ( OIM ) results. The results are characterized in terms of three orientation distribution coefficients ( ODC's ), W400 , W420 , and W440 , each of which describes a particular forming anisotr...
